LaTasha Taylor Starr – Executive Director

LaTasha graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics and a minor in Biology from Tennessee State University. At the University of Washington (Seattle), LaTasha earned her first Master’s degree from the College of Engineering in Human Centered Design & Engineering with a concentration in User Interface Design and her second Master’s in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. Mrs. Starr enjoys bridging the K-12 STEM education gap via teacher and student exposure to innovative hands-on learning methods using a project based approach.

Ariel Leslie, PhD – Chief Operations

Dr. Ariel Leslie graduated from Texas Southern University in Houston, TX where she obtained a B.S. in Mathematics. Dr. Leslie then received her doctoral degree in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Arlington December of 2019. She studied and published in the area of mathematical neuroscience. Dr. Leslie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, volunteering, and teaching children all about STEM.

Shavone Taylor – Curriculum Design

Shavone graduated in 1998 from Arlington Heights High School. She has always loved working with children. One of Shavone’s dreams growing up was to become an Entrepreneur. In the year of 2014, Shavone started a candy arrangement/ gift basket business. Shavone enjoys crafting, event planning, and organizing. Ms. Taylor uses that same creativity to develop awesome and engaging STEM projects.
